Description
FDM ATR Inorganics ( 470 Spectra )
These ATR/FTIR spectra cover common and uncommon inorganics of all major classes. A wide variety of metal salts (bromides, chlorides, fluorides, nitrates, oxides, phosphates, sulphates) are included making this database useful to a broad audience in commercial, government and academic labs. Spectra of both anhydrous and hydrated forms are presented for a number of compounds.
This database has excellent coverage of many rare earth beta-diketonate and alkoxide compounds. The diketonates, in particular, include some remarkable spectra. Recent additions include more rare earth and transition metal compounds in organometallic complexes and organoboron compounds.
Considerable effort has gone into the naming of these spectra. Most names are provided with both the molecular formula and a CAS number. Thus, unfamiliar inorganic chemical names or regional naming differences won’t limit the users ability to make good use of these excellent spectra. The CAS numbers are extremely useful for locating synonyms and other chemical information on the web.
These spectra were run on a Bruker Equinox FTIR at 2 cm-1 optical resolution with a Pike MIRacle(tm) single bounce ATR accessory. The crystals used are Ge, which was used for almost all compounds, and diamond-ZnSe for only the most corrosive and/or strongly oxidizing compounds. The chemical name index is available on request.
