HIQsil HPLC Columns
HiQ sil (tm) HPLC columns are made from an ultra purity silica gel as the starting material. The unique manufacturing process ensures high mechanical strength and a very regular particle size whilst minimising fines to give a long life under the toughest conditions.
The HiQ sil gel is manufactured in a range of particle sizes, pore sizes and with a variety of chemical surface bondings for reverse phase and normal phase chromatography.
HiQ Sil HS - Ultimate performance, high resolution columns with excellent reproducibility and long life time.
HiQ Sil – The original phase excellent performance outstanding value columns.
As well as the conventional C18 phase HIQ Sil columns are also available shorter chain length alkyl bonded phases.
C8 - With retention lower than C18, it can analyse even strongly hydrophobic compounds more quickly.
C4 - Can be used when C18 and C8 retention is too high, often requires more aqueous buffer than C8 or C18.
C1 - Can be used in reverse phase for extremely hydrophobic samples or in normal phase for highly polar compounds
HiQ Sil W - 120 Å pore size verasatile phase suitable for a very wide range of compounds
HiQ Sil P - 300 Å pore size specifically developed for the analysis of proteins C4 is generally used for proteins ,C18 and C8 is generally used to for peptides or small molecules.
Speciality Phases
HiQ Sil Ph - Phenyl bonded column used as an alternative to C18 and exhibits useful selectivity characteristics which can improve or speed up the separation of aromatic compounds.
HiQ Sil CN - Cyano bonded column used as an alternative to C18 and exhibits useful selectivity characteristics to improve separation of polar compounds
HiQ Sil NH2 -Amino bonded column used as an alternative to C18 for polar compounds and classically used in the separation of sugars, oligosaccharides and carbohydrates
HiQ Sil Silica - Non bonded phase suitable for normal phase chromatography and non aqueous solvents.
